Male privilege is my brother telling me that he knows more about what I study than I do (Ethnic Studies) because he took a few political science classes in college, then proceeded to yell “Semantics!” over and over again as I tried to explain the difference between Race and Ethnicity. He has been taught that he can use his loud voice and agressive mannerisms in arguments to silence me.
